Youth and Children
Our youth meet twice a week. There are small groups that meet on Sunday mornings as well as youth and children’s Bible studies on Wednesday nights. We are currently planning expansions of our family ministries.
Seniors Day Out
Seniors Day Out is a monthly opportunity for the seniors of the church to gather and fellowship with one another over a potluck meal. There is usually a speaker who provides some training or education on matters concerning senior citizens.
Matthew 25:40 Clothes Closet
Calvary loves the people of West Memphis. This ministry provides clothing, shoes, and Christmas gifts to children in our community. This includes schools, DHS, Mending Hearts Therapy, and Friends in Transition.
Prison Ministry
Calvary actively works in both the local women’s prison and the nearby state men’s penitentiary. Members go in each week to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to some of the darkest situations. Our prison ministry actively engages in basic counseling and Bible teaching.
Nursing Home Ministry
People in nursing homes are often forgotten by the world. We believe that their life situation should not preclude them from biblical worship and Christian fellowship, so we join in leading worship at Willowbend Nursing Home three times a week.
Eighth Street Mission
Addiction is a horrible trap that snares so many in our community. We financially support the Eighth Street Mission as a gospel light to those who have trapped themselves in a lifestyle of substance abuse. Members of our church also lead a Bible study there twice a month.
Benevolence
Calvary cares for those the needy in our community. We support the West Memphis and Marion Ministerial Fellowship, who has funds on hand to help the less fortunate, but we also maintain our own limited benevolence program to help the food insecure and those in the most desperate of need.
Police Chaplaincy
This ministry provides emotional, spiritual, and moral support to law enforcement officers, their families, and the community. A police chaplain is an ordained clergy member that is available 24/7, offers confidential counseling, and is present during crises—such as delivering death notifications or assisting crime victims.
SBC Disaster Relief
Southern Baptists have been champions for disaster relief ministry for decades and are currently recognized as some of the most responsive assistance to those affected by disasters.. They provide meals, showers, and construction work to people who have lost everything. CBC is proud to participate in the SBC’s DR efforts.
Counseling Ministry
Pastor Jacob offers free Biblical Counseling services to anyone in the church or community in need of help. He desires to help people in emotional and mental distress by bringing the Scriptures to bear on their lives.
South Dakota Missions
Calvary partners with Čhaŋkú Wašté Ranch in Porcupine, SD to help meet people’s greatest need: salvation from sin. We assist with construction projects, wellness clinics, and a summer camp to provide connections to reach the lost.
